About Dr. Syska
Dr. Syska received his DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) from the Ohio State University in 2000. He started his undergraduate degree at the University of Cincinnati majoring in Architectural Engineering. Dr. Syska only attended UC for the 93-94 school year and then transferred to OSU. While transferring his classes, he tested out of much of the course curriculum necessary for entry into dental school. He entered the College of Dentistry in the fall of 1995, making him the youngest person in the country to enter dental school that year. For this accomplishment, Dr. Syska was recognized before the House of Representatives in the state capitol building in Columbus. This award is proudly displayed in his office.
During his time in dental school, Dr. Syska would spend much of his time outside the clinic in geriatric nursing homes. He was instrumental in helping to set up the geriatric dental program at OSU. On graduating, Dr. Syska received an award from Proctor and Gamble, the makers of Crest toothpaste, entitled the “Crest Award for the Elderly.” This too is proudly displayed in the office.
